More than 35 YEARS of passion
The story of Beringer began in 1985 in Châtelneuf, when Gilbert Beringer, passionate about motor sports, decided to create a range of innovative components for his sidecars.
Faced with market domination by the BREMBO company, Beringer reacted by developing innovative braking solutions in 1990. Success was immediate, propelling the company towards the creation of complete braking systems in 1993.
In 1997, Beringer expanded its scope by beginning the study and design of braking prototypes for a variety of vehicles, ranging from two-wheelers to four-wheelers.
From 1999 to 2001, the company evolved towards a new status, while collaborating with other companies for renowned projects, notably in the field of Formula 1 where the company equipped the Ferrari and Prost Grand Prix teams.
In 2009, the company was bought by Emile Di Serio. Under new management, the company is investing heavily in modern equipment to increase its efficiency and autonomy.
Always looking for innovation, in 2019, Beringer is expanding its skills by designing BMX Race cranksets specially developed for competition.
This leads to launching, from 2020, the development of a Made In France VTTAE, entirely developed in-house. In the same dynamic, the development of bicycle braking also began during this period.
In 2023, Beringer is strengthening its production capacity with the acquisition of new equipment including digital control to increase production.
In 2024, the company will launch its electric bicycle and braking system specially designed for mountain bikes and e-MTBs internationally, marking a new step in its journey.
