who we are ?

More than 35 YEARS of passion

The story of Beringer began in 1985 in Châtelneuf, when Gilbert Beringer, a sidecar road rally enthusiast, decided to create a range of wheels and balance forks for his vehicles. This bold choice marks the beginnings of an exceptional adventure which still shapes the industry landscape today.

In 1990, faced with the monopoly of the Brembo company on the global market for motorcycle braking systems, Beringer reacted by developing cast iron discs.

Success was achieved, propelling the company towards the creation of the first braking systems. These brake discs, available for a variety of motorcycles, were accompanied by a range of calipers from 1993.

The year 1997 marked a major turning point with the development of a branch dedicated to the study and production of disc braking prototypes for all types of vehicles, ranging from bicycles to cars, including quads.

From 1999 to 2001, Beringer evolved towards the status of SA with capital of 250,000F. In collaboration with Carbone Industrie, the company produces brake calipers for Formula 1, equipping Ferrari and Prost Grand Prix for three seasons.

Encouraged by its success in the motorcycle world, Beringer decided to expand its offering with high-end and competition calipers for cars.

In July 2009, Emile Di Serio, owner of Saint Jean Industrie, a company specializing in the engineering and production of aluminum components for the automotive industry, acquired Beringer with the clear determination to revitalize the company's activity.

From 2010, the company invested in modern equipment, including a laser machine and a machining center. In a quest for autonomy, an anodizing line was installed in spring 2013, making the company practically autonomous, with the exception of chrome, hard nickel and polished finishes carried out by external service providers.

Always looking for innovation, in 2019, Beringer is expanding its skills by designing BMX Race cranksets specially developed for competition. Building on this success, the company is launching, from 2020, the creation of a Made In France VTTAE, entirely developed internally. In the same dynamic, the development of bicycle braking also began during this period.

In 2023, Beringer strengthens its production capacity by acquiring a new digital control.

2024 marks the international launch of the Beringer electric bike and braking system specially designed for mountain bikes, DH and e-MTBs.
